Between May to August Loggerhead and Green turtles lay their eggs in North Cyprus. The hatching of the eggs takes place around 50 days later. In the company of the team at Alagadi Beach (a 25-minute-drive from Kyrenia) you can share this unique event. Just before sunset, join the students at their base, "The Goat Shed" at Alagadi. The best times to observe the nesting is at the end of June and beginning of July. To observe the hatching it is best to go between end of August and beginning of September.

Wild Donkeys of North Cyprus

These donkeys are very popular at the Karpaz Peninsula. You can easily see them while you are driving at the Karpaz. The donkeys in North Cyprus were once used to carry olives from the groves and cereals from the fields. Many donkeys were later left to fend for themselves. They were then rounded up and taken to the Karpas Peninsula National Park.
